The hardest part of research funding is rarely the writing. It is finding out a call existed before it shut. So we built a tracker for global health funding calls, sorted by closing date, covering concept notes and full proposals across health systems, climate and health, vaccines and new interventions for developing countries, nutrition, diagnostics and implementation research.
Every entry states plainly who may lead the application, what the award is worth, and what the funder refuses to fund — because most submissions die on eligibility and fit, not on science.
There is a second list for rolling schemes with no deadline at all, which matters more than it sounds: Wellcome is moving its Discovery and Career Development Awards to always-open submission, and its geography is narrowing from October 2026 to the UK and low- and middle-income countries in Africa, South Asia and South-East Asia — a door that is closing for some applicants and staying open for researchers in Pakistan and neighbouring countries.
