Reading an ECG is a skill you build by doing, not by staring at labelled diagrams — so Doctors’ Corner has built a free interactive ECG interpretation trainer for medical students, house officers and postgraduate trainees.
It presents 42 twelve-lead cases on authentic ECG paper at 25 mm/s and 10 mm/mV, from normal sinus rhythm and atrial fibrillation through Wenckebach, complete heart block, anterior and inferior STEMI, left and right bundle branch block, hyperkalaemia, Brugada, Wellens syndrome and torsades de pointes.
Every case opens with a clinical vignette, and you work through it the way you should at the bedside: drag the on-screen calipers to measure intervals, enter your own rate, PR, QRS and QTc to be graded against the correct values, tap any lead to expand it into a ten-second strip, then commit to a diagnosis before the machine measurements are revealed.
A timed exam mode delivers five, ten or all forty-two cases with no hints, then produces a score report broken down by topic — rhythm, conduction, ischaemia, chambers and metabolic — so you know exactly where your weak spots are. It runs free in any browser, works on a phone, and needs no login.
